Need help identifying the truck that hit me and took off.
Hello fellow 2iS members,
Im hoping you guys can help find this hit and run driver. I know in the picture you can't make out the license plate but I'm hoping someone can help identify the car. I believe it was a black chevy truck but cant identify which one.
I did write down the plate but I must have gotten a digit wrong. It was a Massachusetts plate and I wrote down "813 TRZ". The state trooper that ran the plate says it came up with an older Toyota sedan.
Backstory: Yesterday around 10pm I was driving from Boston, MA to Albany, NY on i90W (exit 6). There was a disabled car in the passing lane, debris all over the only other lane and damaged cars in the breakdown lane. I slow down to avoid hitting anyone or anything but the truck behind doesn't slow down. I was certain at this point he was going to rear end me going 60+ mph. He avoids hitting me and instead manages to somehow get over to the space left of me (not a full lane) and scrapes the driver side door, fender, wheel, and bumper. I immediately pull over and call 911 (who were already on their way because of the disabled vehicle). I wait a moment and go outside to see the condition of my car and attempt to reach out to the driver of the truck. Before I know what's happening he takes off and I was only able to get 1 picture and write down what I thought was his plate.
I'm going to contact the trooper tonight and hoping to give him at least the make and model. Along with the partial plate, and a time frame I'm hopeful they might find him by using a cameras on the toll booths.
The QQ part: Getting married in a month, in process of starting a new job, relocating and trying to find his wife to be a job here. This accident is starting to feel like the straw that broke the camels back.
Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you.

are you sure its a chevy? it could also be a GMC Yukon or denali. They basically look almost the same as the Suburban/Tahoe. Hopefully you can catch the guy!!

Hey guys, thanks for the responses. Yeah I thought I got the plate correctly so I was surprised to hear from the trooper that it was for completely different car. I'm going to contact him tonight and see if there was any luck with playing with some of the numbers.
I took the picture at 10:13pm on the Mass Pike (toll road). I'm hoping that they can check the cameras on the toll booths for a car that matches the description and plate.
