Clear bra vs repainting later
#16
Thanks, everyone!
what touch up paint do you use? I've seen commercials for Dr. ColorChip (I'm sure there's a thread somewhere- I'll research more later today)
This is my biggest concern w/ bras. I've seen a few Lex with clear bras and they looked yellow or simply obvious there's a bra (not sure what brand, of course).
My final decision was to just touch up the rockchips when it happens.
So, it is probaby best to have it repainted when it becomes absolutely necessary. I dont need it at this point of time and probably will never need it since touch up paint is good enough for me already.

The newer clear bras are less susceptible to yellowing as compared to the clear bras of old. However, you do need to protect it as you do paint. I always have a good coat of sealant and wax on mine. They should last several years without any noticeable difference in coloring if you properly care for them.

Yeah I'd say either repaint and clear bra or just detail now and repaint later. Really depends on your budget and how important it is to you right now. I didn't clear bra mine and this car really gets chipped, I've just been touching up the bad ones.
