Jacking up a car one side at a time
Hey, I've been trying to search this but no results. When I jack up my car from the front center jack point on my car it doesn't fit and I don't want to use ramps.
I've seen some people using floor jacks to jack up one side of the car and putting a jack stand under it, I just wanted to know where the two spots are to jack it up from the side since the pinch point only fits a jack stand or jack, but not both. Thanks.

not to jack up one side at a time... I know it shows the jack points on the side, the pinch points or whatever but not how you can jack it up from one of the points and get a jack stand under it as well.
Like this picture, the jack around this position but getting a jack stand under it, I just want to know where I could place everything.

I have mine on 4 jack stands as I type this, getting the wheels powder coated.
I am assuming you are using a rolling floor jack. Here is what you do: Angle cut a couple of 2 x 10 pieces of lumber and drive the front tires up on them. Now your floor jack will fit under the front of the car. Jack up from the middle jack point that is shown in the manual and place both front jack stands at once.
The rear as you know is not a problem so no need for the lumber there.

Yeah, I tried that as well, the wood kept slipping/hitting my lip but eventually got up and this was done on concrete, not gravel or anything. Yes a rolling floor jack, I just wanted to know if there a spot like the sub-frame or anything I could use to get up one of the sides and get a jack stand under the pinch points.

If your car's too low, you may want to try jacking the car up on one side using the scissor jack on the pinch points, then slide your floor jack under the front, then when it's high enough, remove the scissor jack and replace it with your jack stands.
