Well so far, one seat has about 6 coats on it and looks incredible in person. The color haven't came off at all and has seemed to stay in, obviously it's to early to tell but I've tried rubbing it quite hard and nothing came off. Hopefully it lasts because I'm in love!
Gawd as soon as your girl wears white its on (I mean OFF!!)! haha just kidding. Not something I'd personally do but I know plenty of Mitsu Evo guys that have dyed seats with good results. Keep updating, those look good!
Im worried about white pants but we will see, no flaking or anything YET, but like i said they arent even done yet. I sanded the seats down really really good before i applied anything to get the best outcome
just wait til it gets freakin hot and the cars baking in the sun... i cant imagine how embarassing it would be if i got out of the car and had red stains all over my back and pants..
Hey you never know maybe it will be tougher and stay on, I have 5% tint as well so hopefully that will help a tad. We won't know for a few months though
i have died seats before on my old trans am..i went from grey to black and the paint is still on as far as i know...the dye is the best and easiest way to change colors...i was wanting to do mine in black on the IS but was fearing taking out the seats
The seats are EASY, I've stripped one car in my life and that was an old camaro, this was just as easy, if not easier because the screws obviously weren't rusty.
