Default Will 2009+ Door Panels fit on 2006-2008?

Has it been done?

I want the black maple trim in my 2007. This requires installing 2009+ door panels that fit the black maple switch panels.

I really just want to know if the newer panels will line up properly to the existing mounts in my car. I am hoping to luck into some information or insight that my research thus far has not uncovered.

I have read through ISCJonny's & Krizzle's threads which cover a similar topic but not quite this one. Hoovey's photos of the different interiors are unfortunately no longer linking to ISCJonny's thread.

Thanks!

Front or rear door? I've got a 2010 lexus is250 in the shop and I could compare it to mine(2006)...

I thought the wiring for the switches changed in 2009.

That is correct the wiring did change in 2009 to the switches. The panels themselves will most likely fit but you won't get the switches to work without rewiring them. I tried to get the grey maple trim and it didn't work so i let it go.

I'm looking at all four door panels. If you could compare them I would really appreciate it. I assume color matching will not be a problem but you may be in the best position to judge that as well. Thank you so much!

Thank you for bringing this up. I was wondering myself if something like this would come into play here. Thanks!

Thank you for chiming in on this. How far along did you get before giving up on the idea? Did it seem like a simple harness change would do it or was it more than that? Thanks!

I already replaced the door panels themselves, and when it came to the trim i realized the difference in the connectors. Because I am not good friends with wiring I just took the panels of and put all my original ones back on.

If you know enough about wiring things up I would suggest go ahead and do it. It just sucks that Lexus didn't make that color on the 06-08 models.

Thank you very much for this critical piece of information. Good to know you were able to get the panels mounted on the older doors. Sounds like a bit of rewiring should make this dream of mine a possibility.

It just sucks that Lexus didn't make that color on the 06-08 models.
Seriously. When I bought my car in 2007, I had a choice of the gunmetal plastic or the red wood trim which didn't match my black on black preference. I saw the black maple on a friend's car a few years later and have wanted it in my car ever since.

By chance--have you been able to see the white wood trim that SewellParts has made available for the 06-08? I've been considering that as an alternative should my dreams of the black maple not work out. I've never seen it in person though, so I really don't have a feel for what it would look like installed.

Thanks again!

No never seen it in person, IMO it won't really match the black on black I would recommend getting the isF trim pieces that would look awesome.

I prefer the black maple to the ISF trim although I was thinking about that as well until I saw the black wood in person.

Thanks!

Default Will 2007 door switches fit in 2011 door panels

I was thinking about buying 2011 door panels knowing that they’ll fit but I was unaware that the wiring changed in newer years i was wondering tho if I could just put my door and window switches from my 2007 panels into the 2011 panels or was there differences that won’t let them fit?
