Default Is this a good deal???

I am currently negotiating with a private owner for an 06 Lexus IS250 with 67.5K miles, premium package, very good condition, 18" wheels, all required service done and records are available, 60K service done in Sep 2012, front brakes done Sep 2011 & rear brakes done Sep 2012, tires are about a year old, exterior with normal wear & tear. It is light blue with gray interior and it really looks like the owner took care of it very well. Started at $17,250 and I offered $15K, counter offer is $16,750, I countered $15,600 and she said she won't sell for less than $16K. From all my research, the $16K is a fair price. Should I pull the trigger and buy it? Any and all opinions welcome! Thanks!

Sounds like a pretty good deal. Any Car Fax for accidents (even though it's not always accurate)?

Ran a CARFAX and it is clean. First owner was lease for 2 years with about 17K and then this lady bought it in May of 2008 and put about 50K miles on it since then. All the recalls on it were also done. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it.

Thanks for all that have commented so far. The poll results so far is 90% good deal. I called the owner and told her we have a deal for $16K and will pick it up on Saturday. I'll post pictures when I get a chance. This is my first Lexus and am very excited. I look forward to learning a lot about the IS250 in this forum, which I think is awesome!

Really good deal almost too good to be true. What's the catch?

There really is no catch. I just got lucky to find this lady that just had a baby who is 5 months old now and the backseat of the IS250 she has is not conducive to a car seat and a stroller. She just bought a small SUV and thus, she has to sell the IS250. It may also have helped that I am a cash buyer.
