Need help ASAP.. Brake pad install question *PICS*
So im installing new brake pads and getting them off was easy and painless but when it came to changing the shims, I didnt understand what to do. My stock has two shims. My new brake pads looks like there is already 1 shim on it, but my second stock shim that went over my stock one, wont fit over it. Do I just install them and not need to use my stock shims?
here is a picture of the brake pad that looks like it has a shim on it already. and next to it is my two stock shims.
just use the shims on the new one....because if you notice the groove to hold the shim are in different places than the oem...so just use the one from the aftermarket
Well ***** I guess I need to pull my brakes back of. So I'm guessing these extra shims will cause the rotor to drag? After I installed all 4 I rode with the windows down to seat the brakes and heard to scrubbing?
