Where in NJ are you located?
The dealer will tell you anything to get you to do services that are not yet needed.
I have a friend who is a service manager at one of the NJ dealer, he has been taking care of me for close to 7 years now with my modded IS. He got his own shop and when I have expensive items that needs to be done (changing brakes & rotors) I let him do it for cheaper.
Let me know and I will see if he can do a diagnosis for you at the dealer and if he can help you out.

water pump symptoms
hey guys,
I wanted to know exactly what the symptoms are for a water pump thats starting to fail. The lexus mechanic said the sound is coming from the water pump and the slight rumble sound when revving can possibly be that.
What have you guys dealt with? I'm still early enough to use the lemon law to have this issue resolved.

There is an engine rumble noise and then a squeaking noise. I can really hear the rumble on mine as you can hear on that video^ the squeaking not so much.. Would you still say it is the water pump? I have the same exact idle noise rumble however.

Sure, the water pump flows coolant that in turns also heats the interior of the car by running thru a module. When the water pump is failing, the actuator does not function properly to also to pass the warm fluid to also heat the inside of your car. This is an early morning before work explaination sorry if it is vague. Will post pics later regarding the path of the fluid
Hopefully this helps for now
