I had my kit installed and they work wonderfully in the day time however at night they switch back to my stock oem yellowish lights. Is this just how the kit works?

That stock oem yellowish light that turns on w/ your headlights are parking lights. It's a separate bulb from your DRLs. You can switch them out for leds to match your headlights. I think the size is 198? I could be wrong. But the bulbs are relatively cheap since its just a led bulb.

I agree, you may be confusing it with the parking lights because your DRLS turn off when your headlights are on.

The parking light bulb size is 194

they're like right beside each other

normally people just get 194 led to replace that

do you have to take off the front bumper in order to get to the parking light to change it?

and do they flicker after you put them on? i remember that someone told me that they started flickering

No you don't have to take off the bumper to reach it, only the little shield behind the headlight. Mine don't flicker at all.
