Back Up Camera Install for LSQ / Non Fly Audio Units
All,
Sorry to make a separate thread, but i've read through all 50+ pages of the non-fly audio thread to no direct answer. I'm going to be out of town starting tomorrow so wanted to get this sorted out so that the misses can use the car.
I'm trying to wire a backup camera to the LSQ Navigation unit. The backup camera has already previously been wired to an external screen and power tapped into the reverse light so i know its working. However i'm trying to figure out what to do with the wires that came with the LSQ navigation unit listed below and was wondering if someone can provide guidance.
1) CCD Input (Yellow RCA Cable): I simply connected the RCA output from the camera to this, think there shouldn't be anything more to this step.
2) "REVERSE" wire (blue): Not sure what do with this. Should i ground it or run it to the 12V power source of the backup camera? Blue reverse wire pictured below:
3) "CCD 12V" wire (grey): Also not sure what to do with this. Grey ccd wire pictured below
thanks in advance CL!
Pictures are from "TUNG". I will try to take some pics after work and host them myself. Please let me know if you would like them taken down

Ok so after much digging, i found this in the fly audio thread for back up camera. This confirms my suspicion that in addition to the "CCD YELLOW RCA" connection, i also need to splice a 12V connection into the Navigation Unit. However does this 12V connection go to the "REVERSE" wire or the "CCD 12V" wire? And what do i do with the remaining wire?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Well this has been resolved and is functioning now. Updating in case anyone else wants to reference in the future. Thanks to TUNG and Nguyenfor the help!
3 wire from the LSQ Unit for Back up cam
1) Yellow RCA: This goes into the yellow RCA from your backup camera
2) Blue REVERSE wire: Feed the backup camera 12v source into this blue reverse wire
3) CCD 12V wire (Grey): Do nothing
I thought the yellow rca itself would be enough to send a signal to the lsq unit to turn on the backup camera. Apparently you need the blue reverse wire too for it to work.
