I test drive the car, it is a little shaky. It might be because the tire is bald. It will need tire and possible brake. It does need an oil change. what should I ask for? I was think $22,500 or should i go lower. Any feedback is welcome. Thanks

Dealers make the money off the used cars. I guarantee they didn't pay more that 20 for it. Start low and get them dealing.

I think you can do better!

Just picked up my 2011 IS250 w/ 45k.
Led DRL
Navi
Certified Preowned from Lexus 3yr/100k bumper to bumper

25k out the door.

Try negotiating because you'll need to put in more money for the repairs. Good luck!

Yeah, 22,500 is not a good offer, you need to start at like 16k and make sure you get up and walk away at least one time. Also look up the car on both carfax and lexus.com

I did see this: REMOVE DENTS FROM BOTH RT SIDE DOORS.

But also not very consistent oil change records, you can use this to get the price lower.

Haha, you might be right, or you might be wrong it never hurts to try. After selling cars for 7 years I learned never to assume

When negotiating you have to be REAL. You are NOT going to get it for 16k. I'd start with 20 also as that 3k is most likely a mark up from the dealership anyways. I'm not a salesman but just be fair and they will listen to you.

20k out the door would mean they sold the car at 18k or so, if you got that I would be impressed. I am not saying they will sell you the car for 16k I am saying start there

That's pretty high considering the things that need to be fixed. I was lucky to get a sweet deal on my 2009 IS350. I paid $25k for it and it had 14k miles, sport package, and Mark Levinson(no nav). The only thing I had to change were the tires. The dealership fixed anything else since it's still under warranty.

I would start at $18k and go from there. I wouldn't pay more than $20k for it. If they see that you're serious about it, they may come down even lower. Good luck!

I picked my 2009 up for $23k w/ 27,500 miles, factory warranty remaining, 4 brand new tires, no repairs needed, it was a 1 owner Lexus leased vehicle, all service was done and documented at the dealer prior to me purchasing it... so I bet you can get that car for under $22k.

LED brake lights are standard--if the dealer is trying to make it seem like this is an upgrade, they're full of it.
