Damn... another one hurt like mine. I know the feeling... sorry to hear the bad news. At least, you are ok and that's all that counts in the end.

A good shop should have that fixed. Looks like doors and fender need to be replaced. Make sure your adjuster includes an alignment. Mine alignment got jacked up and now I'm trying to get it re-imbursed.

About 2 weeks ago, someone ran a stop sign and smashed into my Lexus head on.

I thought it was gonna be totally but it turned out to be almost $10K in repairs.

Do you mean 42K? Or really just 42? Sad either way, of course. Glad you're ok, though.

2008 with 42 miles would be quite an accomplishment :-)

Sorry to see, but hope you got out of the accident without any bodily harm. This may sound cliche but its pretty true... cars can be replaced but people can't

Think logically how can a 2008 IS have only 42 miles. I'm pretty sure it's 42K

How can this be a totaled car? Was it flooded or had it a salvage title?

Sorry to hear that....Glad noone got hurt

Damage shown from the picture I'm pretty sure it's fixable.....

Cars are repairable/replaceable while not the drivers......

Glad to hear you are OK. Sad to see another IS in an accident.

What's the extent of the damage? From the picture, it doesn't look that extensive to cause a total lost, unless the engine is gone. Has insurance said anything yet?

I don't imagine that car being totalled. I mean, the frame rails don't appear to be impacted and neither to the lower door sills. New door skin, door realignment, new side skirt, new fender, fender realignment , new wheel, and possibly a hood realignment. Sux though...good luck!

That's not a total loss. There isn't any frame, it's a unibody.

it isn't a total loss, but i wouldn't want to drive a car with this much damage. who knows, down the line something might happen.

all that matters is your ok, time to collect insurance and jump up to an IS-F
