Default 2012 with no led headlights?

I just noticed that my IS250 AWD is a 2012 car that doesn't have what people call the "2012 led headlights". Why is that? Not all of them come that way? Some sort of package? I really want them now after doing some research but Im sure they are not a drop in/plug and play modification. What do they run for these days?

Those LED daytime light headlight is part of a package or you have to add it to your total MSRP when you buy the car.

They come on cars equipped with factory HID's. HID's are optional on IS250's and standard on 11+ IS350, IS C and IS F.

If you have an 11-13 IS250 without HID's, you do not get the LED's, you have the same headlights as the 2006-2010 Halogens.

I'm sure the car just didn't have the HID option and that's why it doesn't have it.
You can probably have the dealer or corporate run the VIN and confirm that for you too.

There are a ton of 2011-13 IS250's without LED. My car didn't cone with them either. There are even some F-Sports without them.

A Lexus dealer would be able to confirm with a VIN.

HIDs aren't standard on the 250, end of story. LED headlights only come with HIDs

Yup, in fact that was one of the reason why i went with the IS350AWD because it came standard with the LED and leather seats. The IS250 come in halogen unless you upgrade to HIDs.

i'm going to find a rental car with HIDs, rent it for the day, and swap the headlights with my 2008. no rental car company cares about having the DRL LEDs i'm sure. right?

Good luck with all that lol. You will need to re pin your lights to work on the 2012. Will also have to swap the flasher relays and buy the LED harness for both sides.

realistically speaking... how long does it take to swap headlights from a car and install yours into the one you swapped from. speaking in terms of a completely legit swap with someone that intended to trade.
