Default Any differences between '09 and '10 IS250?

Hi. I'm in the market for an IS250 and I'm stuck between either a 2009 or 2010 model. The 09 model is 4-5k cheaper. Are there any differences between the 2009 and 2010? Thanks!

Oh I see. Thanks guys. So overall...would you recommend a 2010 (30K miles) over a 2009 (45K miles) if the difference in price is around $4000?

I've got a 2009 with no complaints... the lower mileage and factory warranty on the 2010 plus the extra options would be worth the $4k to me... but if money is tight, get the 2009 and use that extra money for mods!

Good point! Haha I would have to think about it then. Going to the dealer this Saturday and hopefully I can make a decision.

the extra options are not worth the 4k IMO....lower mileage is always better but if both are certified warranty to 100k then I would save the money for mods, rims & coil overs

Differences Between Model Years:

09->10
Bluetooth now available without nav
Audio system upgraded with USB port and native ipod interface
XM now standard rather than an option
Nav system updated to 6th gen (realtime traffic and other improvements, HD based instead of DVD)
X package no longer offered
Mark Levinson WITHOUT Nav no longer offered

There are some differences in exterior colors offered between years too, you can see that here:

If Lexus can assure you that the 2010 is one of the later ones and NOT subject to the carbon build-up issue (my 2010 is subject to it), the get the 2010 for sure. All of the 2009's have this problem to my knowledge.

I wouldn't buy an IS250 that is subject to this issue. Just my opinion.

The 2010 has bluetooth music streaming. One of the main reasons I traded my 2008 250 in for a 2010 350, other than the fact that the 10 was a 350.

Went with the 2010 because there were no more 09's on the lot.

I'd prefer the HD navi and USB over DVD navi and AUX.... but the sales told me there is absolutely NO difference (when I bought the car) which is why I got the 2009... -_-

There are several threads on this (including a really LONG one) - just do a search.

As I recall, it's usually on higher mileage (75K+ miles) IS250's, but has been known to infrequently happen on lower (perhaps 25K or so) mileage.
