Default Some help with my Radio, please?

Hello fellow Lexus owners.

I'm new to this forum and am hoping someone can help.

I've got a 2007 Lexus IS250 AWD with the navigation system. Last week, I installed the battery backwards and blew out a few fuses. I had to replace the fuse block as well as the ETCS fuse in order to get the car running. (phew. I think it could have been a lot worse)

When the batter was installed backwards, it also blew out the 30 amp RAD1 and RAD2 fuses for the radio.
After installing the batter correctly, the RAD1 fuse continues to blow when I put in a new 30 Amp fuse? Everything in the car works except I get no sound. I can tune into radio channels, select CD's I want to play, but no sound comes out.
Can someone kindly give me a few suggestions on what I can do?

Thanks in advance.

Have you check your amp? Since you install the battery back ward it could have blown your amp also.

I found this info from a member thread of how to check your amp:

Have a look at the Audio Menu screen on the touch screen where you can change the sound from Front to Rear Bass Treble etc. If they are all to one side then its probably the Amp.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try the thing from the audio Menu. This is what I've done so far. I've unplugged the connectors to the amp. (located in the trunk, passenger side). I then plug in the 30amp fuse and it doesn't blow. So I'm assuming the fuse is related to the amp. My next steps are to take out the amp, test it and probably replace it with a used one from the junk yard or something. Thanks again, 2genIS.

Default Follow Up

Just to follow up, It was my amp that was dead.
Plugging the battery backwards caused a Diode on the amp to blow. I had a friend unsolder the old one and replace it with a new one. It cost me $1.50 to get a new diode and everything is as good as new.

Thanks for your help
