Default Help! I broke one of the connector pieces in my headlight.

I was trying to move around my wires on the connector for my 2012 headlights. When I was trying to remove the wire it ripped. Now the metal end is stuck inside of the connector? I dont know what to do? Can I buy the entire piece separate? I think I ruined my headlight....

You don't have to replace the harness, they actually sell the pins alone but you'll probably have to call Sewell personaly or your local dealer to kno what they are talking about.

Edit: I just looked it up on thier site and they sell the connector, I'm sure if a dealer looks up the part they will see the options to order the Pins for the connector.

Yah I think you are right. Can you find the pins at anyplace other than Lexus dealership?

Junkyard perhaps? Just find another misc. wiring harness ( lexus if you can find one) and rip a pin out. Shouldn't be too different.

Wow, someone really did a number on that connector housing.

90980-11893 is that connector for the body harness side, this is available from Lexus.
90980-11892 is that connector for the headlight harness side, this is NOT available from Lexus, you have to replace the entire assembly to get it.

I would suggest one of the following options:

- Find a used/damaged headlight and take the connector from that.
- Buy/find a new terminal and put it in another empty spot on the connector and change the body harness side to match.
- Replace the entire connector on both sides with new ones that you CAN get from Lexus/Toyota, this may be a bit difficult, but not impossible.
- Replace the headlight.

Option 1 or 2 is probably easiest/best.

I removed all the wires and am going to swap it with my old headlight connector. I tried removing the connector. It seems to have a tab on the bottom, which I lifted but it won't slide off the holder. Anyone have experience removing the connector?

You were doing it right, you lift the tab and slide it off. The wires are a bit tight so it can be a bit harder than you might think.
