Default 2nd Gen IS 350's left on lots, discounts, etc.

Hi, new here. I've lurked for a bit and searched without much success (plus this is rather recent topic anyway). With the new release photos and new model reaching dealers this year, where are we now with regard to the current IS 350 on dealer lots? I know that sometimes there are leftovers and they can go for nice discounts, but sometimes the supply dries up sooner than expected and dealers can still fetch MSRP for the cars.

The new IS model strikes me as a bit controversial with the styling and some won't like it, and therefore might be thinking along the lines as I am - buy an IS 350 in the old body style now.

Any info appreciated.

Hey welcome to CL where you will definitely become an optimist with the great info in these forums. Back in February I bought my Wife her new 2012 leftover IS-250-awd. We bought the car with 8 miles on the odometer for over $8500.00 off MSRP. Check Edmunds .com for rebates, prices paid, then check Cars.com for inventory. We drove over 200 miles for that awesome deal. Good Luck. Keep us posted.

I also noticed that you're in Arizona. I recommend you go to California for much better deals on Lexus cars, I actually bought my 2012 RX-350 in Northern Cali at Lexus of Serramonte near San Fran).Speak to the internet guy over there tell him his South Jersey RX buyer said Hi and to give a fellow CL member a good deal. I saved a ton of $$ on my RX and had it trucked back to Jersey.

I just bought my 2013 IS 350 F Sport on Monday, I received a little over $4,000 off MSRP. MSRP was $46,472 and I ended up paying $42,147.

Thank you for all the replies.

There is a relative shortage of IS 350's at my local dealers compared to some other city's inventories, assuming the online inventory program thing is accurate. Quite a few 250's but not 350's.

Good to hear about the discounts mentioned above.

Now a '13 IS should be able to be purchased for at least $2K under invoice, easily.

I got my 2012 IS350 f-sport in feb as well. Was sticker $46k and out the door was $38k. Couldn't of been happier! Good luck finding one. Also I'm sure there is not going to be deals going just yet on the 3rd gen IS, so is say get a better deal and go with the 2nd gen.
