Default IS250 Engine Lagging

Hello Everyone, I'm new to ClubLexus as I just purchased my first Lex about a month ago! I got a 2009 IS250 RWD with a Manual Transmission.

My issues are that I feel like I'm not getting all the power out of the car and that the engine is lagging when I try to pick up speed. (Almost feels like my car has asthma) .I know the car is not suppose to be a speedy gonzales but I think my 2009 civic could take the IS in a race. And also everytime I shift into second or third I feel the gears grind.

My car takes about 15 minutes to idle ( in summer time). And I hear all these wierd sounds coming from the dash.

Anybody have any reccomendations to how I can fix some of these problems?

That's odd.... have you checked to see if all recalls have been done ?

Good point I would def look into that. My suggestion would be to see how many miles are on the car and change all the fluids. In terms of power; engine oil, tranny oil, rear diff.. Radiator even...

Since ur car is used it depends how the previous owner has driven ur car and how he took care of it.

This sounds like the carbon build up issue, do a search and you should find a bunch of info on it.

Yeah could be carbon buildup, just curious, what octane/brand fuel are you using?

Read up n the Carbon Buildup here https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ld-up-csp.html among other places.
