2008 clutch transmission problem
hey guys, i brought my is250 in for a clutch noise, the "jar of marbles" noise. i thought it would be covered under the service bullentin for abnormal noise but they told me its making a noise because of clutch wear and basically my fault. the clutch catches fine and doesnt slip it just makes a noise when i let off into gear. anyone go through anything similar before or have advise. thanks!

I would try going to another dealer sounds to me like that dealer is just trying to use the clutch as a scapegoat.
If you car is still under the 70k powertrain warranty tell them that the trany at time is hard to go from 1st to second along with the jar of marbles sound and that should get them to replace it. I personaly had my 6 MT gearbox replaced on jan of last year and thats the description i gave them.
