Default CAI throw CEL code?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if any of the aftermarket intakes (Takeda specifically) will throw check engine light codes? I previously had German cars which were ultra sensitive and my CAI would often set it off. As my car is brand new, I'm not ready to deal with that headache yet.

Thanks!

If installed correctly, no it shouldnt. Make sure your the MAF sensor is not loose after everything is installed

And by the way, nobody makes cold air intakes for the 2IS

You would be surprised how many people claim to have a K&N/Takeda/Fsport/Greddy, etc CAI.....

Yeah Ive seen the thread.

I heard that a company has tried to start produce a CAI for the 2IS which is great, just about 7 years too late when the 3IS is about to come out.....
