If I'm not mistaken there was a company making turbos but they only made a few because there were so many consumer problems with them. I think there was a company overseas manufacturing superchargers (arma I think?) but it was not a basic bolt on by any stretch. If i remember correctly it was somewhere between $3k-$5k but i dont remember. If you want a cheap mod for power you're better off trading for a 350 or doing full exhaust in my opinion. I'm sure everyone will confirm or correct me in all that lol

Don't think there has ever been a turbo IS. You can look up superchargers which is gonna run you about 5K when you get all the other parts. A 350 has 100 more HP which you'll never make up with a charger. There's only a handful of people with s/c's. Hope this helps.

P.S. there are no chips either. Quit looking on eBay for parts!

Although I love my IS, it's the wrong car to turbocharge. There's a reason there isn't many (if any) that are turbocharged and only a handful that are supercharged. Not too well supported by aftermarket for this which means you'll need to do A LOT of custom work and with a lot of custom work comes a lot of headaches. A LOT easier to just get an IS350 and get your extra 100 HP that way.

Thread like this keep showing on forum time after time. As I know, our ECU is un-tune able. Trade in your car get IS350 or ISF.

If you "don't know what else you need" you are in way over your head. I've turbocharged non factory turbo cars and it is not easy nor cheap. Since you are only on the "I found a turbo on eBay" phase of this my advice is stop now and get the idea out of your head.

I know you're probably looking for some short answer on the best and cheapest, but sorry, unfortunately, looks like you will have to put some effort into reading identical threads. I know I know, life is tough, get a hard hat. We won't spoon feed you.

Here are some threads, some informative and some with the same flaming you are getting here. And deservedly so.

There's a third option apparently, some custom paint jobbed orange ISF local here had "turbo exhaust" which was basically some add-on fan inside the exhaust which makes similar-to-turbo noises
Here's the catch....it slows down the car!

Oh ya isn't there something similar for the intake as well?
