Question HELP Buying a 06 IS350(Car History Inside)

Hi,

I want to buy a 06 IS350 from my friend and the car has only 19K miles. It has some scratches and she has her front and back bumpers repainted and the white colors don't match and its very noticeable.

1) How much would it cost me to repaint the bumper and how close to the original color can I get it?

2) I have read this https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...e-threads.html and got the dealer history. Can someone please look at the history and see what was changed and what wasn't as I have no clue what most of the stuff means.

3) I think the navigation was changed(owner not sure) as it says something about it in the history but not sure.

4) No Cam Gear noise upon start up and no rattles that I could hear and no windshield trim cracking.

I could get the car for $21.5K. It is fully loaded i think. Carfax is useless as it shows absolutely nothing(just that the car has its registration renews each year)

Lexus Dealer Car History Report:

Thanks!

It wouldn't cost much to repaint it, the hard part would be finding the correct paint since it's white and will most likely be noticeable if not done professionally. I would jump on that deal but try to lower the price to $20k at least. Also you can find out what the car came equipped with if you just call the dealer and provide them with the VIN Number.

Nothing out of the ordinary on the service history; all usual maintenance, plus recalls and TSIBs taken care of.

Anything above $20k I think would be too much, even with the low mileage. I picked up my '06 350 in April '11with 31k miles for <$21 OTD.

The paint will be pricey because I assume it is the pearl white, and if I've read correctly it'll take a 3-stage paint process. It might be easier to replace the bumper pre-painted from Sewell Lexus :

http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2006/4551.html

The listing for the "NAV computer" is very vague, but could be a new NAV unit or maybe as simple as an install of a newer NAV disk.

I can tell you this, I LOVE my 350! I've not encountered a single issue with my 350; reliable DD!

Did you find out why she painted the bumpers. Was in an accident or the typical female driving cosmetic bumper things
Hard to believe it's fully loaded. Does it have memory seats, headlight washer, adaptive cruise control, curtain shade?

The price sounds right, but for sure try to wiggle yourself to at least 20k. If that car was here in Texas it would be going for close to 25k with that low of mileage.

Thanks all for your very useful information. She had her front bumper and left headlight smashed when she stepped on the gas pedal instead of the break pedal and hit a pole in front of her and that is why it was changed and repainted. The back bumper was just typical female driving and parking in the Chicago streets.

If I get it around $20K I would be very happy and would order a new bumpers from Sewell and just sell my old ones.
