Default CEL and traction control light on

I brought my car to the dealer yesterday for a oil change and today on my way to work the cel and traction light came on. My car is also lowered and has a fsport exhaust but they have been installed for two months with no issues. Do u think they did something wrong during the oil change?

Take it back to the dealer and have them check it out since you just got the car back

I called and made a appointment for Monday. I'm just hoping they don't blame my lowering springs or exhaust

What kind of exhaust you have? If it's axle-back exhaust (F-sport, Tanabe, etc) that shouldn't cause any issues, since it does not mess with any cats or O2 Sensors.

If you have cat-back or mid-pipe, there is a chance they will blame that since it deletes the secondary cats and you need to re-attach the exhaust sensor if I'm not mistaken.

Just menion to the dealer that you never had those errors PRIOR to their work.

Yea I have the fsport exhaust so that shouldn't be to blame. But thanks for the responses guys I hope it's something small and simple. Is it normal for the traction control light to come on with the cel?

In the mean time you could go to autozone and get the cel code checked to see what the issue is

disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes. During those 10 minutes you could unplug the maf/ait sensor on the intake box and plug it back in. Then plug the battery back in once the 10 minutes are up.
Usually when the trac control and check engine light comes on, it has something to do with emissions.
I just had this situation the other after re-installing my F-sport intake.

Thanks I'm gonna try that out. If not I'm just gonna go to advanced auto and borrow there scanner. If the scanner finds a code how do I find out what it means? I need a obdII scanner right?

You can google the code. Its usually P then a 4 digit number (ex: P0300)
Yes, you will need an OBD II scanner.

You may also want to check your gas cap. If your tank is about 1/2 empty your gas cap may have triggered it if its loose.
