Hey gents, this is my first post. Found the forums through doing a lexus research and I'm already liking it.
As title says, I'm about to buy a 2006 IS 250 off a female 'friend' of mine. Navy blue and Has 70k miles. I did read the buyers guide in the forums, and the car has the navigation freeze issue, and some cracks in the dash, also seems like it's kind of melting. That's the bad. Other than that i think the car is good, haven't taken a look under the hood yet but it drives VERY smooth.
Price is $12k .. considering i'll have to fix or replace the NAV and dash, is this a good price or not really? Also has one of the tire sensors lit up.
I'm coming from a 07 bmw 5 series which i sold, loved it but too many issues.
Thank you all in advanced..

12k is good deal with navigation.you can try fix it yourself or go on ebay.they will fix it for you around 400$ but you have to ship the unit to them.it still less than replace whole unit.i heard whole unit cost 2500$.what you mean the sensor.is that tpms?.it cost 4 new one like 67$ on ebay.good luck with new car.

Thanks for the reply, i was just reading about the DIY for the nav, seems very straight forward, or just buy the new screen for like 270 off ebay..
Any input on the dash melting away?
