As much as I hate Plastidip, I budged and painted my grill surround with multiple coats of white and then clear coat. I'm considering having the grill surround paint matched. Thoughts?

isnt it hard to do that since paint is hard to stay bonded on chrome material?

No it shouldn't be a problem once it's sanded down. My grille surround is painted too. I think a handful of members have done it before too and I haven't heard of any problems cause of it.

Yeah I think all you need to do is scrub the chrome down with a green scotchbrite pad to scuff it up, then degrease, and spray very very light initial coats of primer. After that it should be cake.

Wow, it came out pretty good. The powdercoat job seems like it was done really well and I think it looks much better. Nice subtle clean choice

Thanks man!! Yeah it honestly looks better than I thought it would, it really pops in the sun, but is very subtle in the shade. As far as the powder coat job, there are a couple spots I wish I could re-do, but not bad at all for my first time doing it. Anyway, thanks for the compliments !!
