You can read my other thread about it. This is the second time since June they tore apart the engine. First time, I was 405 miles out of warranty when the engine "failed". First repair was maybe $8K but Lexus was kind enough to "goodwill" warranty it. Got the car back but it was knocking. Now they decided I need a new short block, and the cost was about $8-12K. I'm 700 miles out of warranty but again, Lexus was willing to pay the full cost for the repair. So maybe $20K or so spent this summer by Lexus to fix it. Good thing they stand behind their products and actually care about their customers.

I would unload that car as quickly as possible or just tell the dealership to give you a great deal on a new car or CPO. And as a New lexus owner (1st lexus about 6 months ago) they honestly do stand behind their products and have great customer service. cheers to lexus!
