First part of my interior upgrade: Changed my center console from a carbon wrap to a carbon resin overlay instead. Has much more depth and gloss (see before & after photo). Also wrapped the side trims in candy apple red vinyl and swapped the shift **** to a carbon/red perforated leather one. Final detail was to put a decal of my personalized plate that I had made up in metallic silver, to give it more of a personal touch.
The decision to go with the side trims in red and shift **** will make more sense in the next update.........
Second part of my interior upgrade: Just finished installing these wine red leather seat covers. My IS350 is a Japanese Version S model, which is the sportier version with stiffer suspension and a couple of other changes over the other versions in the line-up, but as result had suede/alcantara seats instead of the leather like you get with the Version L model.
Admittedly, the suede material was nice, but I wanted something different, so rather than swapping in some half-worn factory leather seats I decided to go with some tailored-fit seat covers instead. As a result the fitment is very good, but I do need to wear the leather in a bit to get rid of any creases and high spots to fully contour it to the original shape of the seats.
All in all they look good, and it's one more thing to cross off the list.
