Admittedly, the suede material was nice, but I wanted something different, so rather than swapping in some half-worn factory leather seats I decided to go with some tailored-fit seat covers instead. As a result the fitment is very good, but I do need to wear the leather in a bit to get rid of any creases and high spots to fully contour it to the original shape of the seats.

All in all they look good, and it's one more thing to cross off the list.
I love this! How'd you go about getting those fitted seat covers and how much did it cost you?

You can get them on AliExpress. There are a number of sellers who offer them but I chose to go for the most expensive option as the seller I chose uses thicker foam and was great to deal with. Worked out to be about another $100 or so more than others, but they were able to do the wine red with black center like I requested, which wasn't originally an option from them.

I have bought some velcro strips from AliExpress yesterday with the intention of sticking them along the creases of the factory seat underneath, to really tuck the seat covers in against them more and take away any remaining sag. They fit well as it, but would look even better if they were tighter, so that should help.

Third part of my interior upgrade: Diamond stitched floor mats. These are a tailored fit and come in a number of different color options - Which made it difficult to decide which one to get, but I decided to go for quite neutral colored stitching to act as a nice contrast against the wine red seats.

The car probably depreciated 85% in price since new. The insurance company will total the car if it costs more than 50% of the car's worth to fix.

My 2007 IS350 was $46k new but now $5-6k even in excellent condition. If I get hit and it costs $2-3k to fix, they'll total it. Same logic as not putting a new $3000 engine in a 1998 Corolla worth $500.

But yeah sucks bro. Good luck.

Thanks. Was fortunate enough to jump into a 2016 is200t F sport . Also swapped out my Advan TCIIIs so those will go on the 200. Need to sell my unused ISC coils so I can get some for the new ride.

Small update on the leather seat covers that I installed a few weeks ago, for anyone who is interested - They've settled in to the shape of the seats better now, and I put some Velcro strips along some of the edges yesterday to help contour them a bit more. It's not perfectly tight like a factory leather seat, and they may not be everybody's cup of tea, but for me personally I think they look great. And one random shot thrown in at the end for good measure

They are Vland headlights and tail lights. You can get them on eBay. Quite a popular choice among the 2IS community
