^Sheesh..this guy is making 2nd gens look better than 3rd gens. The particular LED lights in the front and rear really do transform the overall appearance of this generation's IS. DownUnder, how bright are those LED headlights btw and what brand are those? I am close to pulling the trigger.

Haha thanks! The headlights are made by a company called Jumiap. They are brighter than the Vlands but in my opinion only suit the 4IS conversion. Too aggressive for any other bumper styles. Would be better going for the HC Motion headlights which are a similar design but the DRL isn't as aggressive. Was tempting to buy a 3rd set for my blue one with the 3IS conversion, but decided it looks better with the Vlands.

DownUnder,

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I appreciate the recommendation and understand your perspective. VLands are probably the safest and only choice for me, so please forgive me for being adventurous. You are not wrong. In some sense, the stock bumper is too muted and doesn't conform well when paired with the newer gen LED headlights, especially of those with a modern touch of sharper angles. However, there is one user on Instagram--atxxf--that has the same head light design as you and this individual seemed to have more or less, pulled off the look with the retention of the OEM stock bumper. Perhaps I am wrong or deceived by the odd angles in the photos. Please see the images below and enlighten/share your thoughts with me.

No worries! In my opinion that looks pretty bad with the Jumiap headlights on the stock bumper. They clash badly. The rounded nature of the stock bumper vs the edgy and modern design of the headlights just doesn't flow at all and it ends up looking all kinds of wrong. Just my opinion though . If that had the HC Motion headlights instead it would pull it off a lot better and wouldn't look so tacked on.

Here's a photo that someone else posted with the same headlights but on a 3IS conversion. Still doesn't flow well. Needs to be the 4IS conversion to pull it off due to the sharp edges and more modern design.

Same car with Vland headlights:

^ Looks great! And the perfect example of how much better the HC Motion headlights look with the factory bumper. The HC Motion and Jumiap headlights have a similar light output due to the triple beams acting as the low beam instead of just the two outer ones on the Vlands. The high beams are 1000x better than the Vlands too.

Thanks! I wish I still had my Sard wing and 57CR wheels... but those are better put to use now (moved them to the IS F)

I feel like it looks better on a modified car (with OEM bumper), on a darker car, or a full conversion one. It looks really off on a light colored stock car with stock height. I wasn't sure how it'd look on mine either, but my OEM + retrofits were giving me issues and I just wanted to be able to see the road at night. These happened to work out nicely.

HC Motion with factory bumper does not flow so well, really like the lights but dont want full bodykit just for that.
Dont care much about vlands but they do work decent with factory spec car.
With more time goes by even oem 2011+ headligts dont seem that special anymore + that means full 2011+ fsport body upgrade to pull the look.
