You must be pretty young. But to answer your question, no I did not buy the car for the brand. Hopefully not many of us do. The IS is a really nice car, at a really nice price, and I can drive it with a peace of mind because its so damn reliable.
If I crave attention or speed, I take my other car out. That's what weekend cars are for right... spending money to buy a car you only drive for 40 miles on a Sunday lol

Making money takes hard work anywhere. I just bought within the limits of my finances so for me the car price comparatively was very good and the maintenance was cheap.
If I was driving a Ferrari I would be pissed too if some modified import disrespected me, but that will be because I am buying the car for badge and pretended to be someone rich when I am not. If I was worth hundreds of millions and driving a Ferrari, I would not care--or conversely if I just love cars, I would not care either.

is 350 faster than is 250 but when you racing in local area,light,care,people,.its all about brave and skill.not all about the power on the car.i guess you guy never do so.i have is 250 awd.i would never debadge because i want clean look.its lexus.it look nices and clean already.anytime i drive on the street and i see any is debadge. i would laugh but its okay if you wannna be is 350.Thats fine.haha
