Default Strange nav touchscreen issue

Hey guys, unfortunately the other week i had the displeasure of finding out that my 2007 Lexus IS250's navigation touchscreen stopped responding to touch (well... mostly). I know this is a pretty common problem and i've spent the past week or so looking for solutions other than replacing the entire thing.

I did most of the DIY's posted, including disconnecting the battery, checking the digitizer's connection, and everything else.

Today, however, i noticed something strange... when i press the "info" button and I am brought to the menu ( this menu: http://mylifemagazine.com/wp-content...ooth_setup.png ), the touchscreen actually responds! The strange thing is, no matter where I touch on the screen, it clicks on the "language" selection. It registers my touch, makes the beep noise, and brings me back to the 'accept' screen, where it stops registering touch. I'm guessing it's maybe some sort of software issue? Obviously it still is registering some sort of touch.

I figured that maybe before I send in the unit to get repaired for hundreds of dollars, I'd see if anyone on here would have any DIY ideas?

Thanks!

Default Same exact problem for me

I am hoping to avoid taking the whole unit apart to fix the ribbon cable. I am continuing to look for an alternate solution.
