SAD!

Like you said, you wont be able to find a duplicate that you know was well taken care of for the insurance $$, most likely.

My mom, who parks in her garage 99% of the time, had her less than 1 year old Camry stolen out of her driveway in a nicer suburb of Cincinnati a few years back. Idiot teenagers put 300 miles on it and made 20+ cigarette burns and it was found a few miles away 2 days later parked in the neighborhood that one of the kids lives in. They got caught bc my mom had left a credit card in the car and they used it at a few gas stations and at a McDs, got them on tape!

She got the car back and a few grand from insurance to 'restore' it, but the cigarette burns and smell will never go away so a week or so later she traded it in for new car. I hope this works out for you.

I know how you feel. I have had my car stolen before. They found it with minimal damage. Stay positive.

There was no need for the dealer to put LoJack on it because it had the Lexus Enform installed in the navigation system. But the difference between LoJack and the Enform is the Enform requires an annual payment of $139. (In hindsight) I easily would have paid that had I known about the Enform. I only found out about it by googling and then calling Lexus for them to tell me there is no way to re-activate the service without being inside the car. Sister let it expire after the first trial year.

Yes I have full coverage with Geico. Now it is just a waiting period.

Just so you know in the future, most insurance companies give you a discount for having the Lexus Enform/LoJack active in the vehicle. My insurance (21st Century) gives me $120/year discount, bringing the cost of the subscription down to $19/year.

Dang, sorry to hear about your loss OP. I guess it is a lesson learned, to never leave any spare car keys in any car.

Hopefully the car turns up soon in one piece. And hopefully your insurance company covers cost and is able to fully reimburse you.

Good luck.

Sorry about your car. I'm glad I just extended Enform for my Wife's IS and my RX. I never told my Insurance company I have it. I'll have to call them.

Damn, that suck dude. I bet they definitely weren't expecting to find keys to a nice Lexus while breaking into a Ford!! Karma will catch up with them don't worry!

That's one of the reasons we pay insurance for. Good luck.

Nope no word yet on the car. Police said I would be notified 24/7 if/when it was found.

As I mentioned earlier, yes a lot of newer Lexus cars have gps on them but you have to pay a yearly fee (at least on mine you did). I wasn't aware of the feature (Leuxs Enform) so I never subscribed. You must be inside the vehicle to subscribe so I am out of luck

Wow, i am extremely sorry that this happened, I barely got my lexus IS 250 back in march, so its like almost the same amount of time that its been in my possession, losing my car would be so heartbreaking and my greatest fear.

I hope that you do find your car with no issues, I wish you the best
