Hi guys, I'm looking into getting an IS and want to spend around 16k. After looking around online, I know that's going to be in the 06-08 range. I've found some that have had about 70k mileage. Any advice on mileage in that ballpark, how does the car run etc? Also regarding the warranty, if I buy it at one of these mom and pop dealers, I'm guessing I can't go to Lexus and add additional warranty? Thanks!

Its a lexus, I would not even bat an eye at buying one with over 100k. Just do your research, also get the VIN numbers from the cars you are intrested in. You can create an account over at www.lexus.com and put those VIN numbers in as "your car", it will give you the service history and recals that have been done.
I would tell you to pick up a IS350, but I see that you are in NY so a IS250 AWD might be a better choice. Make sure you read up on the carbon issues (you should search the forum)

Thanks. That helped, I found a 2010 at the dealer. I'm going to check it out. The carfax says there was an accident, do you know how you can find out what exactly happen? Does the dealer end up telling you, or know? Yeah AWD is better for me, especially with NY's winters.
