that is the link you should look into. If you are not tech savy I would say stay away from this...
I just posted on that thread you will know my brief background from what I wrote there. You can check my other posts on that big thread with many pages as I have been around for quite a while helping people out.
If you are DESPERATE to the point where you want to ship that unit to me and risk that shipping part.... then I say try me. (Meaning I refused many people's begging for them to ship a unit to me because I told them it was too risky shipping such an expensive and fragile item)
My recent change in opinion lately is because I keep seeing so many people have this problem outside of CA and willing to take a hit and try helping those out who arent locals. I did 30+ and many people can vouch for me.

Same thing happened to me thank god for extended warranty i suggest you pick up the complete Chinese nav unit for about $600 and call it a day plus u get a bigger screen by an inch and plays DVDs can't go wrong with that here is the link to do some research

park it in the shade and etc and save this thread or the frozen navigation thread so that you can refer back to it. I GUARANTEE you it will happen again. I had about 4-5 people who had it fixed by the dealer and had to actually fix it for them after! Until then good luck!
PARK IT IN THE SHADE, LOWER WINDOWS A LITTLE BIT (try getting window visors), PARK IN GARAGE!
