Woah, like everyone else has said, first and foremost - glad you and wife are ok. Too bad the car is not. I can tell you put alot of TLC into it along with the upgrades, sucks when things like this happen. Good reason to upgrade to an IS-F or 3IS if you wanted lol

Sorry to hear about the accident. But so glad you were able to walk away it from minor injuries.

Hopefully insurance takes care of you.

If you are not looking at a 3rd Gen IS or GS, then I would take the road trip and pick up the IS-F.

Good luck with everything.

Those passenger front airbags almost always break the windshield. When it flies out of the dash it pushes the part of the dash it comes out from up into the windshield. I have seen pictures of a girls ankles that were shattered from the air bag smashing her feet into the windshield. Always makes me cringe when I see someone with their feet on the dash.

Good things is that you are safe.

I would probably advise you to see a chiropractor to have them look at your back and neck and get x-rays. There is a chance that both the neck and back have shifted out of alignment the impact (aka fast miss-alignment). The hospital wouldn't be able to tell you this they they try to see if it's broken but not the alignment. If confirmed that you have an miss-alignment, get yourself treated.

The pain symptoms something miss-alignment doesn't happen until later, and by the time it happens, it's sort of late as the problem had already developed over time the mucles/joints can't stand it anymore and is causing pain. Other symptoms would be feeling, stiff, lack of flexibility or muscles acting tense on slight pressure since the affected areas is protecting itself (muscles always on).
See one to get it looked at as soon as you can.

Even at a low speed collision such at 16 km/h / 10 mph is enough to cause the neck and or back to go out of alignment as well.
