It looks like I'll be going for an '06 model (with 100-135k mileage), as they are much cheaper and cost less than $12 K. Do you think this is a wise choice, or should I go for a newer '08 model (going up to $15k)?

If you can go with an 09 and up IS.. its the latest generation now that the 2014 IS is out

I wish I could, but I'm working with a tight budget. Plus, even the '07 models are costing upwards of $17 grand OTD. I can only imagine what '09 or '10 wud cost.
