Avg IS350 1/8th miles time with no weigh reduction. What was you perferred method of launching? What rpm? Normal or PWR mode?

I had my system in the car with almost 1/2 tank of gas..
Launched at 1500-2000rpm, normal mode, tracking control off, and on auto (not paddles)

Good times and good times were had that day! Wish I could've done more runs. The only other IS350 I ran was whitebeast and 2 times with another GS350 Mesca.

My best time was 8.749 @79.65mph.

those are solid E/T's. IS350's are no slouch in the 1/8 mile, having ran mine at the Pursuit 2 and 3.

I think the IS350's seem to run a more consistent time in the 1/8-mile than the IS-F. it's got a more manageable torque curve (more linear and not quite as broad as the F), which allows the tires to hook up in traction-limited situations. the short gearing helps it get into the heart of the powerband very quickly.

despite the IS-F's sweeping the top three times @ Pursuit 4, every F that raced had traction issues after the first pass. collectively, the F's trap speeds were higher, but traction out of the hole was very limited.

now, if only irwindale had a 1/4-mile instead of an 1/8-mile...

Damn 8.7! I had a hard time getting under 9! Which I did at the end probably cause the car is getting lighter and lighter with less gas.

The stars were aligned and the conditions were just right at that moment, because the next run and the run after was in 9.0 something and then 9.2 lol.
