Check your manual or ask your dealer. you might have a different value since its so frigid over there. At least for me.. haha.
I would assume 0w-20 since its colder but thats just me assuming but check your manual yours should be CANADA specific or ask the dealer.
As far as brand there are tons and tons of articles about the best brand. bobtheoilguy.com has all the info you could possibly need and some. But the best and most expensive is AMSOIL. Royal Purple, Eneos those are great too. but Amsoil is still the best. Just google it!

The rule of thumb is thinner (lower viscosity) oil in the cold and thicker (higher viscosity) in the summer.
If its cold and you have thicker oil, its going to take longer to run through the engine especially during cold start up which is why you use thinner. And if its hot you need thicker oil because in heat the oil spreads thinner as the molecules are spread out more and thinner oil in heat spreads out to much defeating the purpose of lubricating the parts.

I have an 08 and they would use 0w20 for me
ever since then, (this was like a year and a half ago ) ever since I have been using 0w20
