Car overheated
I have a 2008 IS 350 overheated on my way home there is fluid in radiator, i cant see any hoses with leaks my check engine light came on for the VSC and a code for engine coolant temp. circuit low input. Has this happened to anyone? I will be pulling apart tons tomorrow but if anyone can save me some time id really appreciate it. I dont race this car is 98% highway driven just to work and back no mods done.

well i kinda figured sensor went bad when the meter would go for red to the opposite end then go back and fourth but I cant see how that would affect the cars performance because i hear almost like a grinding noise from engine now prob from driving it home. even after i got it home let the engine cool down made sure fluid was in radiator there is a leak somewhere but if i open it up it instantly overheats and i have a huge power loss with the throttle wide open now.

the only code i could get was P0117 if its just a sensor which god help me it is then i hope i can just replace that it would make my day so much easier tomorrow, instead of tearing up the whole fron end of my car.

so got my radiator replaced id say approx 3 weeks ago and now just got home after my car over heated same dang problem. The one thing I do reccomend is not to go to lone hill auto in glendora the guy does great body work but doesnt know jack about this car i only have 110,000 on it and he tells me the car is at the end of its life after he replced or so he says my radiator, now i get random misfire i cant get the high input camshaft A input sensor to reset. anyone know of a post on how to change a radiator i feel like id do a better job than most of these mechanics in my area.

I will check the water pump but it looks like a leak from the radiator and ive even had so much pressure build up that even after letting my car sit all night i will take off the radiator cap and there is still plenty of pressure behind it.
