You love the rumble noise yet you bought a 2.5L V6?

i personally don't think loud exhaust, 6k lows and 3k fogs mean rice

here are just some examples of what "I" think is rice:
* RASPY exhaust (different from loud)
* low beams TOO blue (10k+ depending on bulb maker)
* huge wing (unless ur car is full on racecar)
* cheap parts like the "ez rubber strip" on ebay
* putting non-match badges
* rolling with windows down, music blasting, and driving 1 hand in top middle of steering wheel and seats all the way back, nodding your head to the beats and revving hard while you're driving a car that looks like a 4x4 and wheels are tucked as hell, etc. (yes this is a specific situation I saw on the road)

exhaust and lighting doesn't make ur car rice if you do everything else right

your exhaust probably nets you probably around 4 hp, therefore by definition it is borderline, but if you like the sound, then i say you stick with it.

8K lights reduce visibility compare to OEM lights. Therefore it is a ricer mod, no question asked.

But the real question is, why do you care so much about being label as a ricer? It is sad to see as this car becomes more affordable, the quality of owner goes down...
honestly because even though I don't consider my car as a riced out car IMO, the IS 250 just isn't fast at all and then adding onto the louder exhaust sound with 8K DRLs, other people might consider it as rice. If it was a 350 though, I wouldn't have asked this question.

it wasn't my choice, my dad got the car for me, trust me I would've gone with a bigger V6 engine if I could. hell, even my '00 mustang had a 3.8L V6 but the clutch and the transmission were just gone, I couldn't even drive the thing after owning the car for a year but it was my own fault, I didn't know to bring the car for a thorough check up at the time of purchase.

I actually do drive with the windows down blasting music (but I have a stock sound system if that makes a difference) because I love loud bass but I don't drive with my seat all the way back.

It sounds fine but it's ironic that the Megan exhaust is the most ricer looking one with angled canisters in my opinion.

still need pics for a good opinion. but...

the bluer the headlights get, the ricier it gets.
the louder the exhaust gets, the ricier it gets.

until some other big things are done you should stay away from the mods that look ricey when done on their own on a mostly stock vehicle.

always start with tasteful rims/drop/tint... the big 3. once those are done, THEN you are free to mod the little stuff. it would be better to drive an all stock car for longer while saving money to do these 3 then to keep throwing a couple hundred here and there at little things that get ricey when done on a mostly stock appearing car.

most people mod their cars backwards due to cost of wheels/suspension but the ones who save and wait... it pays off faster than burning money on "take it or leave it" mods... constantly setting you back farther and farther from getting the good stuff. and then a lot of people sell the car before ever getting there. then they repeat with their next car. over and over.

a lifetime of never quite owning a tasteful head turner. it's a sad existence.

People are still using the term ricer?

But I agree, if you have to ask, it probably is.

Would a Front Wheel Drive layout be more of a ricer than RWD?
