Default [Vossen wheels stolen] Good wheel locks?

Couple weeks ago my Vossen wheels were stolen of my IS on my driveway. ****ty feeling ...

Anyway, I just got some new wheels and wondering what's some good wheel locks out there to get that's not common?

I believe the ones I had was probably some universal ones.

I know, if these thief wants your wheel they will find a way ... just want some better ones on.

I have some Muteki locks on my SC300 that seem to be pretty good. On my Muteki locks you have to have the key to take off every single lug nut. I haven't seen any other lug nuts like that either.

You could get 5 different set of locks for each wheel. But it's going to be a pain removing them lol

Honestly there really is no bullet proof way to avoid thiefs, you can only slow them down

If thieves want your rims they will get it. Wheel locks only protects you from novice thieves.

But I would get Muteki locks.

you have a better chance with getting a security cam for your driveway, my father has it for our two cars

make sure you check your local lising craigslist and all that good stuff for news on your wheels, if you have facebook or any social ~Post people will help or notice~

Get a tilt sensor, and I like the camera idea.

This is not recomended as you're not supposed to torque locks down to the recomended specs.

Thanks guys for the replies ... just one questions is there a certain size wheel lock you need or the IS250?

I checked online for some Muteki locks and I see 12x1.5? what does that mean

or anyone have a link to the Muteki locks with key for an IS250

Thanks.

12 x 1.5

first number = the diameter of the wheel stud/bolt
second number = the space between each thread

so 12 x 1.5 means that the diameter of the wheel stud/bolt is 12 mm, w/ 1.5 mm between each thread.

the 2is uses the 12 x 1.5 (mm)-sized lug nuts. do not get any other size, or you will end up stripping the wheel stud/bolt threads or the threads inside the lug nuts... or in worst case scenarios, BOTH.

hope this helps.

bro that sucks..sorry to hear...to be honest any wheel lock you get can be the same results...rim thieves walk with a set of locks themselves so chances are they have every lock you can think of...just sleep light n check on your car often...its a crappy world today
