Default Carbon fiber front lips??

I was about to buy the SE tuned (AIT Racing) carbon fiber front lip, when I noticed my oem GFX front lip kit that was installed by dealer, had 2 slots cut into each side of the corners of the bumper to install two brackets to support GFX kit. Good thing, I was doing a quick check over before I bought the CF lip.

Pretty bummed that the dealer would cut slots on the bumper, I wish I knew this before I decided to get it. Not dwelling on it however, that's just the way s*** goes.

So my next question to all you guys out there is, what carbon fiber front lips are out there that would cover up these slots? I know there's Seibon, but I'm not a big fan of it. I've got an 07 IS350.

That's the wat the oem lip is supposed to fit if its GFX. They cut slots into the bumper.

You'll need the five-axis lip to cover it.

If your car is black and u are local, I'd sell you my front bumper without the cuts

My car isn't black, thanks anyway.

I'll just have to settle for a different front lip that's not CF for now.

I didn't cut into my front bumper ('06) to mount the GFX front lip. Do you have a pics of said "slots"? My connected via the lower portion of the bumper that the factory lip connected to and clipped/bolted in.

I didn't cut into anything myself, it was the dealer. I'll post a pic in a bit.

Here are the slots that were cut out.

That's actually the right way to install the GFX. lol.

Only problem is once you do it there is no going back!

WOW! I never knew there were such things for the front GFX. Most just use double-sided tape to hold it tight.

When i changed my GFX front lip I noticed those same BS holes on mines too :\. I was pretty pissed, but I bought an ings front lip and it obviously clearly covers the holes. But yes, that is the correct way to install the GFX front lip.

What he means is, if you decide to "properly" install the GFX front lip you would cut some slots on the bottom corner of the front bumper. Once you cut these slots, they're there forever and would essentially limit you to certain front lips there after (look at pic). So if you decide to go back to a stock (non GFX kit), you will have some visible holes on your bumper

You can still install the front GFX lip kit. Just make sure to tell whom ever is doing the install, "DO NOT CUT MY BUMPER", and your problem is solved.

Good thing for us is there are plenty of other kits out there that will cover theses holes.

Exactly, and when I go to sell/part out my car I'll just buy another gfx front lip and install it and call it a day.
