So I'm in an undergraduate program at my University and decided it's time to get a car. I've paid for an 07' IS250 and it's mine once I finish registering it (out of state). I expect that I will be able to drive the car off the lot by this Tuesday, latest Thursday. Before getting this car the only cars I ever drove were my parents Lexus's. (An RX300 and some GX). Anyway, I'm a car noob and honestly couldn't tell you know to change the oil of a car. I need this car to last me for at least 5 more years and am going to take really good care of it, so I will treat it like my princess. I've bought weather mats for it and a few extra goodies. Is there any product you recommend? Are there good guides online that even someone like me could follow in taking care of the car? I'm not taking about putting a new bumper on the car, I'm talking about things like changing the air filter, changing the oil and other tasks like that. I'm really excited for this car.
Thanks!:

Everything that you need can be found in the various links within the following thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...iy-thread.html
Lexus recommends changing the oil every 5k miles with full synthetic. McNeil is partially correct in that modern day oil technology enables the oil to last far longer than 5k miles before it starts to break down. However, it's the oil filters that are the limiting factor and need changing at regular intervals. Use Toyota brand filters (oil, air cabin, engine air etc).
The only other thing that you need to know is that you should have bought a 350
Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum.
