It's related to the sticky dashboard problem. I have a few marks but I was able to patch it up with this:

They have something like this product at Wal-Mart too but you have a wider area to fix.

Call up salvage yards from states outside the South...you can pick up used door panels for about $100-150. Everyone who's having melting interior issues are mostly in FL, with some from the other southern states and Texas. It's the heat + humidity. I ended up replacing my dash and all four door panels.

Sorry to see that! It's pretty horrific. Now, here's what you can do. If you want to go through the dealership. You have to call corporate Lexus and plead them your case. They will file your claim and you must take vehicle in for inspection. Depending on the dealership they will endup going half on parts and labor or they will cover part completely and you pay labor. These panels go for about $700-$1000 dollars each. Or if you want the DIY route, you can scourge salvage yards like someone else mentioned, eBay, or Club Lexus Classifieds and install the panel yourself. There's a brief video on YouTube that demonstrates the process, just enough to get you going. My experience was with dashboard and door panels on a previous IS I purchased. I fought Lexus about a month after I noticed and realized defect. Truly, unacceptable. This material is very fragile, even long nails, book bag, purse, keys, can cause minor abrasions to the surface. If you do get a new one, just clean it with lukewarm water gently and I highly recommend purchasing Aerospace 303 protection and tint windows, If you haven't done so! Good luck.
