Gen2 IS350 vs Gen3 IS350
#16
I don't know about the 350 but I raced my boy "Rasta Racer" that has the 3IS 250 twice and walked him like a bully stealing a kids lunch...we bother have 250's with greddy intake...i have a mid pipe nd greddy exhaust but that didn't change much on HP to be honest....the 3IS is about 200lb heavier so automatically without doing much engine tweaking its going to be a slower car...
We ran from a dig beat him by about 3 cars and then ran from 75mph+ and beat him by about the same when i eased up at 120
Don't rub it in his face anymore lol I already do every day lol lol lol

the 3IS is not 200 lbs heavier, where did you get that figure at. It is 66 lbs heavier using the dimensions at Lexus.com
all the gear ratios business is explained here:

I'm not entirely sure why the 3IS is slower than the 2IS, but gearing isn't it. Possibly the new suspension design doesn't hook up as well from a stop, the extra weight, shifting pattern, or something else maybe.
