Default Anyone with Avant 310's in 18's?? Need help :(

I need thoughts/opions please. lol
I have a SGM IS350 with fsport springs - currently on stock 18's with 40 series tires. I'm not a young guy anymore, and carry the family around in the car. I really want to maintain the 40 series ride quality vs 35 series (tires) but I really want 19's vs 18's.

Does anyone have a pic of Avant 310's in 18's with 40 series tires? I can only find 19's with 35 series.

What's your take on the 40 series vs 35 series ride quality? I haven't owned a lowered car since I was 21 about 12 years back - and I had 35 series back then that I remember not riding so coomfy.

My next problem is - I really like the Avant 368's - but they only come in 19's.
I'll settle for the Avant 310's which are 18" and 19" - but I don't know for sure if I should.

Here are the 368's I really want - but only in 19"

Here are the 310's I'll settle with - which are 18" and 19"

I really wish you could get some feedback on this. I am now considering this wheel as well (310's) but only in 18 and would like to see it on an IS before considering ordering...

You may not find any pics with the wheels you want in 18's. most Oenone upgrade to 19's. I had 30 series on my 20's but I think you'll be fine if you consider 235/35/19 and 265/30/19. Just don't lower it too much.

FI4Runner-Gave this a bit of thought, and heres what i came up with. The 310's look somewhat similar to the LC818's. Spent a couple hours last night going through all the pics on the LC818 thread. The one car that did 19" with no lowering kit looked a bit awkward IMO(white car towards the end of the thread). Im afraid that the 310's in 18" will end up looking smaller than what your hoping for, especially at stock ride height. Just MHO.

Thanks 240!
I finally found a picture of the310's in 18" with the same springs I'm running (Fsport). For some reason my fsport springs look much lower than the ones he has in this pic. I think his springs were brand new in this pic and hadn't settled. My rear tire is stuffed in my rear fender with no gap, and my front has minimal gap.
I think I'm going to go this route. It's looks better than stock (thinking mine will look a tad better being a little lower), and maintains the same ride quality, and that's what I'm after.

If your rear tire is tucked in the fender, you don't have F-Sport springs... or your springs are busted lol

F-Sports have the smallest drop available... ie not much different from stock.

The rear tire is past the fender - at least I thought. I'd have to double check.

That's one heck of a difference between the 18" and 19".

Is it even possible to run a 40 profile tire with 19" rims or it has to be 30 or 35?

18s look way to small on the IS when lowered. Go with a 19" setup, you wont regret it.

25mm and 19mm...is that how much lower the car sits after swapping from stock "non Sport" springs to the F-Sport springs?

I want 19's bad. They look 150% better, I agree. I was hoping to hear some opinions on 18's with 40 series vs 19's with 35 series.
I work in an industrial area where our trucks destroy the roads. In 6 months a brand new filled pothole can be 3" deep and 20"x20" wide.
I've been driving lifted trucks and SUVs the past 13 years and haven't ever had to worry about it.

19's and 40 series is not possible to my knowledge. I've seen 1 person on here run 19's with 35 series in the front and 40 series in the rear, I PM'd him to ask about fender modifications, and he never replied back.
I want as thick of a sidewall as possible - which is my delima.
The first pic in my first post of the Avant 368's - are 20".
