Considerably dipped that much!? What if you asked them to lend you an IS F? I might try that lol

really? I didn't like the interior when I sat in one at the dealer. The console seems really huge now and was plain black plastic...

I'll take my 2is 350 over a 3is 250 all day long

my guy told me that only 3 of the plugs are removed but the other 3 are harder to reach and not normally touched as part of the recall... oh well, that's what you get when you roll the dealer dice...

ahh well it should at least be a bit cheaper than if you were doing it separately right...What should we expect to pay to do it under these circumstances?
Is it possible to ask them for a newer 2014 3rd gen IS as a loaner? Or even an ISF?

Not all dealers have ISF for loaner cars.

Today makes one week since my car was dropped off at the dealer. Prior to me taking it in I called Lexus of America about the sticky dash/doors.

Service guy said he put in a claim. A day passes and he called me back saying that my part to cover the dash is 488.50 and the dealer and Lexus would cover the rest. Being a week away from Christmas I passed on the offer. Service advisor staits that " well the tech already took the dash out in the hopes that you would say yes". More dialog goes on.

Fast forward to yesterday and I go to check on my car, hoping it had no rattles, scratches, etc. my service advisor says that the dash is beyond reinstalliation as the tech was not concerned in its removal as a new one was going to take its place. Now the dealer is going to cover it 100%.

Thanks greedy techs for the new dash!

make sure they pad it enough around the middle of the windshield. Maybe not much of an issue for you in LA but in colder weather, you get rattles there when things start contracting...

Here is New Orleans it never stays cold for very long. The real issue I'm worried about is the rattles them selves. More so from a crapy installer over the dash itself

BLAZE_TYLR !!!! what part of New Orleans are you in?? That is where I am from. I am having the exact same issue with my dash!!! Along with the doors as well. Its all sticky & gooey. What dealership did you go to?! Ive been wanting to replace it for the past 2 years. They told me the exact same thing they told you! Today I was driving & my sister kept telling me how horrible the dash was, I come here today & notice your post! Cant be a coincidence lol...Would really appreciate if you could give me a heads up as my recall appt is Dec 23rd if I could get the dash fixed that would be awesome as its the only bad looking part of my interior.

Lexus of New Orleans has the car.i called lexus corporate prior to taking my car in,they opened a case for me then I told the dealer and they submitted a claim. If the greedy tech hadn't ripped my original out I'd be paying 488 out if pocket. Thankfully he did and now the dealer is responsible for the replacement

That is the same one i am going to Dec 23. Did they offer a free tank of gas? Also, what number did you call to create a claim? I will need to do this ASAP since my recall is Dec 23rd. I feel lexus should somehow compensate for how utterly crappy this dash is...Ive owned a Honda for 6 yrs & the dash never did anything remotely close to this & the Lexus is considered a luxury vehicle......What are the chances that the same tech might rip mine out ?! lol

Just googled the 800 number and spoke with a claims specialist. Haven't gotten the car back but they gas and wash it up.

Chances now for the same thing happening are slim to none haha. Doubt they want to eat another dash.

I asked for an ISF, IS 350 & they would not give me neither (was joking when I asked for F just to see their response lol) They said lexus only gives out RX & ES as loaners so Im not sure how you guys got the IS...Not a big deal but anyways they also told me they cannot use the spark plugs I brought. I got them off of clubLexus with the 60k package...So now Im not sure what to do since they wont even use outside parts...Would Toyota do the maintenance required in the 60k w/outside parts?

Must be your dealer, my last loaner was a 2012 IS350 Fsport.
