Took them 1.5 days on mine. Got it back washed, full of gas and running nice and smooth. SEWELL FTW!!

Can't say I ever heard that sound (from the above posted video) but overall the car seems quieter at idle. Drove the CT as a loaner...love those little things! Like a hippie go-kart.

My VIN is in the affected VIN range. Think I should pre emptively replace my water pump? I have no leaks nor noises from it, but it is a common issue

I never had my car rattle until this morning. It actually sounds surprisingly loud :/ I'll take my car in next week.

just had mine fixed today, didnt really notice anything but its just a 10min run from the lexus dealer to my home.

only picked it up a month or so ago now (11' 350 f sport) so i thought I would install the dashcam to make sure no test run pilots etc, the bonnet went up at around 10:00am and came down at 12:30 - so that's the 'real world' fix time.

anyway glad its done.

Finally got a date...with the dealership! D-day is Thursday for the "cam rattle" recall. They'll have it all day and I'll have a loaner; asked for a 3IS, but we will see.

I have an 08 350 with about 35k miles on it, don't experience the cam rattle when I start it up... should I wait a while and see if it will rattle or should I just drop it off and have it done anyways? I'm afraid that once the engine is taken apart and reassembled, it wouldn't be the same again...

I got my letter in the mail yesterday. I'm not excited to take it. My car works just fine, but I have to since it is a lease

Recall done, got the car back with a full tank of gas and washed. Don't hear any rattle for what it's worth

It's really your call because if your vin falls into the recall specs you're eligible. But do you really have to do each and every recall? No. But would it better as you're selling the car that all of the recalls were performed as requested by Lexus? Yes.

Does anyone know of any recalls for a 2007 is350 that involve the rear camera. Mine keeps on glitching, once in a while for the past year. The screen and dvd player work fine but the camera randomly glitches and the screen goes black with green lines?

I haven't seen a recall on the rear cam. I do have an extra one for sale if you can't get it fixed under warranty. It's in excellent condition for $150 shipped but try to see if Lexus will fix or replace it for you first before you consider buying a replacement.

I just picked up my IS F350 last week. I called Lexus after they checked my vin# . They said mine is not being recall for Cam gear. But did the recall serviced back in May for front wiper arm nut and internal trunk release lever(handle).
Isn"t all 2011 IS350 recall for gear cam ?
I' m confuse
