Default 2012 IS 350 Sharp Steering Issue (?)

Recently got my IS350 and I like it. While I appreciate the great turning radius on this car, when the steering wheel is fully turned to the left or right and I punch the gas, it seems as if its "loose" down there. Its only got 20,000 miles but sounds like the U joints (if it has them) are crunching. Anybody else has this? Could be in my head.

I have an idea of what your talking about. My car feels weird when it's turned all the way to.

I'm not sure if you're describing it poorly or what, but the 2IS has a lot of front steering angle when it is at full lock. If you are at full lock and give much more than minimal throttle, the front tires will tend to get pushed (the tire skips on the pavement because the car is trying to push it forward when it is turned very far). This will happen even more if you have low grip (gravel, rain, snow, ice). Either don't give as much gas or don't turn the steering wheel as far, or get grippier tires (note: if you have grippier tires and you still do this, it will be even worse).

The 2IS has a LOT of steering angle.

I notice the same. I am guessing, it not a problem with your car. I bought a 2007 IS250 with 68,000 miles last week and noticed kind of a pull when I turn the steering all the way on one side.

Thanks Jeff, you're right, I wasn't describing it correcting but you nailed it. Full lock and a little gas over some bump, say as small curb, and it feels as if it is clunking slightly. If as you describe is normal, than I shall stand down from my paranoia. I am hyper alert to any potential "faults". I bought this sight unseen, un-test drove. The only other complaint is small rubbing noise from the window weather stripping which I've read is treatable.
