I have an 06 IS350 with 160K and it never went in for the steering recall. The rack was never replaced.

The steering is awful and driving other 06 3560's it is a problem with my car.

I have tried new tires/ alignments/ PS ECU... everything I can... the steering is awful

what are the chances they would replace my PS rack at 7 years at 160K? A customer assurance /satisfaction program maybe?

It's really bad and borderline dangerous. I have had the suspension checked and tie rods checked out. Everything has been checked but the rack.

What say you, club lexus? FInd a good dealer and beg for mercy?

The steering rack issue was a safety recall, which typically never expire. If your car needs it replaced and it hasn't been done before, it should certainly be replaced under the recall.

I am 99% sure it has not been done. I checked on lexus.com history via the VIN

What are my chances if it HAS been done before?

@ Jeff Lange I see you know a lot about Lexus, I do follow a lot of thread on here and I am curious if you may be able to help me with an inquiry I have in regards to a noise in the steering wheel when I turn it either direction. I make a noise as if something is grinding & today when I went to leave the wheel was locked. I am VERY concerned. Thank you in advance of your have any input.
